Today we would have been ready and waiting on Cross Way to welcome fellow garden enthusiasts to the world’s greatest flower show.

However, whilst we might be unable to celebrate with you in person this year, we will still be joining in with everything the RHS have planned as part of their Virtual RHS Chelsea Flower Show week.

The digital show will still run from Monday 18th May to Saturday 23rd May, with an incredible amount of online content available for everyone to enjoy the sights and sounds of Chelsea from the comfort of their own home. The show will still be featuring on the BBC too, with Sophie Raworth and Joe Swift presenting from their very own back gardens to ensure you see the best content that Chelsea has to offer!

Every morning a leading designer, florist, or gardening personality will be offering a tour of their own private gardens. Meanwhile, other leading experts will also be sharing videos and inspirational articles throughout the week with top design tips, their favourite planting combinations and the latest gardening trends.

The Show will also be more interactive than ever this year, with the chance to engage in live Q&A sessions with RHS advisors and special guests, as well as a ‘potting bench’ feature to introduce viewers to great techniques for growing and maintaining plants. There’s also the opportunity for children to get involved too, with a daily School Gardening Club that encourages families to grow plants and get back to nature – not unlike our own Grow to Give initiative!

Whilst RHS Chelsea has always been about celebrating and embracing natural spaces, this year the Show’s message is more important than ever. In that spirit, the RHS are encouraging everyone to share photos of the green spaces and plants that mean a lot to them with #MyChelseaGarden to help ease anxiety and provide some respite in these challenging times.

We hope you enjoy the week and remember to keep an eye on our social media channels to see how we’re joining in with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this year too. Simply search @horatiosgarden on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to find us and if you get the chance, have a little read of the following two articles to learn more about James Alexander-Sinclair’s and Joe Swift’s involvement with the charity.
