We’d like to say a huge ‘congratulations’ to Alice Hall, Sally Reffold and Helen Whalley, who this past Sunday successfully completed the Royal Parks Half Marathon in their local area!
The Royal Parks Half Marathon usually takes place in the heart of London, with the unique race passing through four of eight of London’s Royal Parks. However, due to ongoing restrictions as a result of Coronavirus, the race instead took place across the length and breadth of the UK thanks to participants raising vital funds by running at home.
Alice, Sally and Helen we’re all part of the unparalleled digital experience and were delighted to be part of this year’s event in particular, as the message of the campaign was #RunGreen. This essentially meant that the race was all about encouraging everyone to venture out into their local green spaces, whilst simultaneously promoting sustainability; two causes Team Horatio’s Garden certainly feel are worthwhile.
Alice, Sally and Helen all had their own reasons for running in support of us and together they’ve raised a phenomenal collective total of over £2,400!
All their fundraising stories are featured on each of their fundraising pages, which are still open for last minute donations, so if you’d like to show your support for their incredible achievement, please click on the relevant links below.

There’s also a chance that the three will be joining in with this coming October’s Royal Parks Half Marathon, which is due to take place in London as usual. The great news is that you can join them, as we have more charity places available!

We are so grateful to Alice, Sally and Helen for taking on this incredible challenge and hope that all three of them spent Sunday afternoon in the warm taking a well-earned rest!
