The Virgin Money London Marathon made its grand return this past Sunday 3rd October and we were absolutely thrilled to have six runners, Ed, Kevin, Jemimah, Archer, Oliver and Jack filling our charity places, whilst fundraiser Shena generously used her own place to support us along with two other charities!
With the event being cancelled as a result of Coronavirus last year, the race’s comeback was long-awaited, meaning the atmosphere throughout the event was second-to-none. It certainly kept all six of our runners going as they traversed the 26-mile route, inspiring them to continue on through the heart of the capital to reach the finish line.
Fantastically, Ed, Kevin, Jemimah, Archer, Oliver and Jack all successfully completed the race, raising a phenomenal, combined total of over £18,600 in the process!
There was plenty of support from the sidelines too, with our competitors’ family and friends all cheering Team Horatio’s Garden on as they drew ever closer to getting their hands on a legendary London Marathon medal. Our runners’ loved ones we’re immensely impressed with each person’s athletic prowess, akin to everyone who generously sponsored those taking part.
There is still time to donate, so please click the links below if you’d like to show your support for any one of our runners.

We are so grateful to Ed, Kevin, Jemimah, Archer, Oliver, Jack and Shena and are in total awe of what they’ve achieved. Everything each of them has done to raise awareness of and vital funds for Horatio’s Garden is enormously appreciated and their efforts will most certainly make a difference to countless people’s lives.
We hope they’re all taking a well-deserved rest today!
