The Everlasting Garden – A Year in Bloom | By Hazel Gardiner and Polly Wilkinson for Horatio’s Garden at Belgravia in Bloom

Horatio’s Garden is delighted to be the official charity partner for Belgravia in Bloom 2025 taking place 19-26 May.

Our installation is created by the brilliant RHS award-winning designers Polly Wilkinson and Hazel Gardiner and celebrates the beauty and resilience of nature found in each Horatio’s Garden through the continuous cycle of the changing seasons.

The sensory installation flows between the seasons from summer perennials, evergreens, grasses to dried elements, winter structure and textural contrasts. Potted plant varieties are mirrored in a cocooning floral arch, illustrating the interplay between cultivated and cut flowers.

Inspired by the inclusive and restorative spaces found in Horatio’s Gardens, The Everlasting Garden encourages contemplation, interaction, and connection with nature.

Pause, reflect and engage by sitting on the central wooden bench and why not capture the moment and share with us @horatiosgarden.

About Horatio’s Garden

At Horatio’s Garden, we know that people with spinal injuries need natural beauty to support their recovery. That is why we build and look after extraordinary gardens in the heart of NHS spinal injury centres.

Spinal injury can happen to anyone at any time and the results can be life-changing and devastating with people spending three to nine months in a specialist unit often far from home. We know how critical it is to have an incredible garden outside the hospital ward to improve mental and physical health.

Our vision is for everyone with a spinal injury to have a Horatio’s Garden as part of their rehabilitation care.

The best way to support Horatio’s Garden is to become a Friend with a regular donation. If you support us with £10 or more, you’ll receive a free Emma Bridgewater mug. Find out more here.
