Simon Gudgeon’s sculptures are on show in Horatio’s Garden Salisbury. Well-known for his monumental work at ‘Sculpture by the Lakes’ in Dorset, Simon’s work features in important private collections abroad and in the United Kingdom. He has attained worldwide recognition, with exhibitions in London, New York, San Diego, Paris, the Netherlands and now Salisbury.

Simon has very generously donated the most beautiful apple sculptures to Horatio’s Garden Salisbury and Scotland as permanent pieces. The apples rests on a plinth of Chilmark stone with Horatio’s Garden inscribed and will be enjoyed by patients for years to come.

Apples are a hallmark of Horatio’s Garden as they were Horatio’s favourite fruit. The pleasure of picking and eating a fresh ripened apple for a patient in hospital cannot be underestimated. The apples in Horatio’s Garden are espaliered so that patients can reach them easily.
