We’ve been supported by some incredible people and businesses throughout the Coronavirus pandemic so far, so to thank them for their generous support we’ve written a little bit about each of them below.

Boujee Beads

New jewellery start-up, Boujee Beads, has pledged to donate 10% of all sales to Horatio’s Garden for the foreseeable future, which is an incredible commitment!

The small business has been recently established by Lotte Burdge, who started university last September. Since returning home with a little more spare time as a result of Coronavirus, Lotte chose to dedicate her free hours to officially setting up Boujee Beads. Currently her focus is on creating fun and colourful handmade earrings, designed to be mixed and matched to go with every outfit. She uses silver- and gold-plated hoops to create her gorgeous products, whilst she also has sterling silver collection available too.

As you will see, each product is totally unique, which reflects the extraordinary story behind Lotte’s business and how she came to support Horatio’s Garden. Last summer, Lotte had an accident on her gap year in Vietnam which left her partially paralysed. After having surgery in Vietnam, she then required further surgery in Salisbury once she arrived home.

Whilst Lotte had long admired the work of the charity, it was during her time in hospital that she discovered just how valuable Horatio’s Garden truly is. Now that she has fully recovered from her accident, she shared “I feel extremely lucky to have walked out of hospital and now I want to do anything I possibly can to raise money for Horatio’s Garden.”

We are so grateful to Lotte and hope that you all love her earrings as much as we do! To shop, simply CLICK HERE.

The Cheerful Heart

Paula and Chris Hall, the brains behind the wholesale company Wit with Wisdom, have recently created a sister company, The Cheerful Heart, to supply consumers with their brilliant products directly.

Their small company is based in Penn, Buckinghamshire and has a truly authentic approach to sustainablity. It is at the heart of everything they do as they create their unique brand of wooden hearts and signs bearing various witticisms. Many of you will recognise them and would agree that they make the perfect, day-brightening gift!

Paula and Chris have very generously chosen to give 5% of all profits to Horatio’s Garden moving forward, which will be much appreciated by everyone associated with the charity. They have also created three bespoke signs in the style of the charity, so everyone can bring a little of the Horatio’s Garden spirit into their homes and gardens too! All profits from this range will be donated to the charity as well and we are so grateful to the team for creating such a wonderful product.

Hunter Gatherer Gifts

The positivity to be gained by creating homemade gifts is something we’ve always championed in Horatio’s Garden and it’s something shared by many of our supporters too.

One such supporter is Harriet Campbell, who back in 2002 began Hunter Gatherer Gifts on her kitchen table in Dorset. She started out by creating kindle cone firelighters for Christmas and since then has enthusiastically sourced fun and unusual gifts for the home. Now, 15 years later, she has built up a wonderful range and will continue to do so well into the future.

It’s thanks to Harriet’s beautiful array of homeware and her loyal supporters that she has kindly donated 10% of all her summer sales so far to Horatio’s Garden.

There’s still plenty of time to browse the Hunter Gatherer Gift collection, so please CLICK HERE to explore.

Chet & Waveney Valley Vineyard

By chance, John and Bridget Hemmant of Chet & Waveney Valley Vineyard recently came across our website and discovered that they had something particularly wonderful in common with the charity.

Having named one of their wines after Lord Horatio Nelson, the couple felt that this was the perfect opportunity to help Horatio’s Garden. They generously decided to donate £20 from the sale of every case of six bottles of their Horatio Brut Blush 2016 English Sparkling wine, which won Silver in the Sparkling Wine Category at the East Anglian WineGB awards in 2019.

Chet & Waveney Valley Vineyard pride themselves on creating the finest English wines in a sustainable way. They marry technical expertise with sensitivity to the grapes in both their fields and winery, giving their wine drinkers an excellent experience. As such, the fruity aromatics, complex flavours and buttery biscuity notes of their aptly named wine are certain to be delicious!

Thank you so much to both John and Bridget for thinking of us and if you would like to purchase their award-winning Horatio Brut Blush (2016) please CLICK HERE.
