We are deeply saddened to hear of the death of our Ambassador Andrew Widdowson.
Andrew sustained a broken neck 45 years ago playing rugby at Oxford University and lived a remarkable life teaching full time at Felsted School despite his devastating injuries.
Having spent many months rehabilitating at Stoke Mandeville without any outside space, Andrew was a passionate and dedicated advocate of Horatio’s Garden and regularly volunteered in the South West garden.
He was a great friend of whole Chapple family, teaching them and many others about how to find a way to contentment and purpose despite adversity.
In June 2023, we met with Andrew in Horatio’s Garden South West where he shared his story with us.
