We had a wonderful time seeing the Serious Injury Team from Hugh James, regional partners of Horatio’s Garden Wales, who organised a delightful treasure hunt and afternoon tea in the garden. The event brought together patients, families, friends, and staff for a memorable day, truly featuring something for everyone!
Children enjoyed participating in the treasure hunt, searching for stones created by talented artist Stephanie Roberts. Surrounded by the resplendent garden, the young explorers solved ten intriguing clues to uncover gems hidden in every corner of the garden.
Meanwhile, a delicious afternoon tea was enjoyed by everyone in attendance! Patients chatted and laughed over cups of tea and a variety of delicious treats, with the warm weather adding to the setting.
Alongside the treasure hunt, a fused glass art session was run by Cathy O’Doherty, giving everyone there the chance to unleash their creative side.
Cari Sowden-Taylor, Partner and joint head of the Serious Injury Team at Hugh James, said: “The event was a resounding success, showcasing not only the beauty of Horatio’s Garden, but also the garden’s spirit of community supported by the event organised by our team. It was a day to remember, filled with joy, creativity, and a sense of togetherness.”
Ruth Andrew, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Horatio’s Garden, added: “It was fantastic to have Hugh James host a Treasure Hunt and Afternoon Tea for our beneficiaries and their loved ones in the garden. It was so lovely to see so many people participating in the day and enjoying the activities and garden. Thank you to everyone involved in organising the event.”
We are so grateful to the team at Hugh James for organising such a lovely day filled with sunshine, laughter, and exploration.
