Q: What event raised over £3,400 for the charity last night?
A: The Horatio’s Garden Quiz Night of course!
We had a fantastic evening at our very first charity quiz night raising money for our gardens across the UK with our brilliant young supporters.
Hosted by quiz master Thea Ralph, who also happens to be the charity’s Digital Assistant (and who appeared on BBC Two’s Only Connect last year!), everyone came together for a night of challenging trivia and delicious food and drinks at The Chelsea Theatre.
Organised by our young committee, the event was an enormous success thanks to the dedication of those working behind the scenes, the incredible team at The Chelsea Theatre, who also generously donated their wonderful venue for free, and Cobra Beer, who ensured no one went thirsty throughout the evening!
The event was also home to an exciting raffle, featuring prizes kindly contributed by Pol Roger, Harley of Scotland, Undercover Leather, Silent Pool Gin, Asilia Salt, Isle of Raasay, Louise Condon Designs and The Longford Estate. Needless to say, all of our raffle winners were thrilled to receive their prizes, with cheers all round for those lucky few.
Our winning quiz teams also took home some wonderful prizes, including sets of beautifully bespoke Horatio’s Garden mugs, designed exclusively for the charity by Emma Bridgewater. Huge congratulations to our winning teams who are:

Whilst making the most of the evening, everyone also spent time thinking about why we were all in the room and how vital nights like this are to ensuring we can continue supporting people throughout the country who are adjusting to life with a spinal injury. Everyone listened intently as Jack generously told his story and shared just how much our garden in Salisbury brought him and his family hope as they learned to live again following a devastating car accident.
Knowing that every penny raised would help to transform thousands of people’s lives, everyone donated generously all night long.
