Following our win in the Nation’s Favourite Garden competition for the South West region, The English Garden magazine has featured Horatio’s Garden Salisbury in their December issue.

The article reveals more about where the charity came from and details some of the uniquely beautiful elements of Cleve West’s award-winning design. These include the low, curving limestone walls that echo the shape of a spine and double as seating for visiting families and friends. The Salisbury garden is shown alongside all the other winners of this year’s competition, all of whom were worthy of the award.

The magazine partnered with the National Garden Scheme for the Nation’s Favourite Garden competition, who have for many years been incredible supporters of the charity. Not only do the National Garden Scheme share our belief in the wonderful benefits of gardens and gardening to health, they have also supported both our Stoke Mandeville and Oswestry garden and have pledged to continue to support all future gardens we create.

We are enormously proud of the Salisbury volunteer team and Head Gardener Stephen Hackett for being honoured with this award.
