The June issue of Gardens Illustrated will be the publication’s special issue 300 centenary magazine and we’re delighted to share that Head Gardener of Horatio’s Garden London & South East, Ashley Edwards, features inside the pages!

Launching their first edition in April 1993, Gardens Illustrated has been combining heritage with expert insights and contemporary inspiration to bring you the best in design and horticulture for almost 30 years, with the hope being they will publish at least 300 more issues well into the future.

It’s a sentiment we certainly share, with the additional hope that the ‘Gardening Talent’ feature, which Ashley appears in this month, continues to offer a platform for gifted emerging gardeners.

In the short interview, Ashley thoughtfully answers a handful of considerate questions, all of which will give you an insight into how his love for gardening began when he was only five years old and how he’s been nurturing that same passion for horticulture ever since.

Alongside sharing some of his seasoned gardening advice too, he also mentions some of the principles guiding his approach to green spaces and his hopes for helping to achieve representation in the world of horticulture by appearing on the small screen.

As always, Ashley’s enthusiasm for plants and all that goes with them is palpable and despite only being a few hundred words, it’s certainly a powerful and indeed inspirational read.

We really appreciate being included in such a momentous issue by the Gardens Illustrated team and hope the magazine’s readers learn as we and everyone visiting Horatio’s Garden London & South East do.
