Based in Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire, Pegasus Gym: Academy of Fitness & Martial Arts regularly run their renowned ‘Train Like A Pro: White Collar Boxing’ challenge and this year Michelle Hughes and Team Cook successfully raised £905 for Horatio’s Garden Stoke Mandeville!
‘Train Like a Pro’ is the ultimate fitness dedication. In preparation for her fight, Michelle spent 10 weeks training with Kickboxing World Champion Brandon Cook on a one-to-one basis, just as a professional would. Despite being an immensely tough undertaking, Michelle found the experience hugely rewarding, following in the wake of countless others who invariably get a taste for the sport.
As expected, the event drew a huge crowd on Saturday 7th August, making for an incredible atmosphere. Whilst she might have lost her fight after nerves got the better of her, Michelle absolutely loved taking part and was thrilled with the team’s final fundraising total! She was also very grateful to her company, Blinding Builders, for generously sponsoring the team and for being behind her throughout her kickboxing journey.
