the secret garden film club

The Secret Garden Film Club is a wonderful new fundraising initiative which has been set up by Horatio’s Garden supporter, Henny Tate.

Click here to follow @secretgardenfilmclub on Instagram.

Henny started the Club because she felt that during these challenging times, people are naturally finding solace in their gardens and gardening more than ever. With so many incredible gardens being nurtured around the world, she thought it was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to share some of the spectacular gardens that normally nobody gets to see.

Gardeners everywhere can get involved by simply recording a mini movie of their own garden and sharing it on Instagram with #secretgardenfilmclub. You can simply have nature as your soundtrack, talk everyone through your garden or add some uplifting music – it’s entirely up to you

The idea is that when you post your film to Instagram you start the post with ‘Here’s my post for #secretgardenfilmclub’ and then write a few words about what your garden means to you, the plants you grow, or how the lockdown has changed gardening for you.

When you post your film, it would be wonderful if you could consider donating to the Secret Garden Film Club JustGiving page, which you’ll find by CLICKING HERE.

You may also like to include the link in your own Instagram bio and encourage your followers to donate too, or equally you could encourage them to get involved by telling them to post their own #secretgardenfilmclub video.

Henny will be reposting as many of the films she sees as possible, so be sure to follow the Instagram page by CLICKING HERE to enjoy all the beautiful gardens that the club has to offer! It’s a truly lovely way to spread a little joy and raise some money to help people with spinal injuries who are currently facing incredibly difficult times.

As Henny writes, ‘Let’s let our gardens do the work (for once)!’
