Some of you will remember the brilliant Hugh James Neurolaw Team from last year, when they embarked upon a lockdown charity challenge that involved running a total of 2,800km and phenomenally raised over £2,000 in aid of Horatio’s Garden Wales.
Now, the team are back and they once again need your support!
The team were planning to take on the Cardiff Half Marathon this October, which was the challenge they originally intended to complete back in 2020. With continued Coronavirus uncertainty and restrictions in Wales, the event has now been postponed for a second time. Nevertheless, the group have made the incredible commitment to continue training and will run the 13.1 miles as part of the Virtual Cardiff Half Marathon at some point between Friday 1st and Sunday 3rd October!
They’ll once again be raising vital funds to support the ongoing running costs of our brand new project, Horatio’s Garden Wales, which is due to open later this year at the Welsh Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Centre located in the newly developed University Hospital Llandough.
With the team specialising in supporting people who have suffered catastrophic brain and spinal cord injury, they often see firsthand the impact these life-changing injuries have on patients and their loved ones. Moreover, the team also have family members and close friends themselves who have been faced by the extraordinary challenge of adjusting to such injuries, thus Horatio’s Garden is a cause close to their hearts.
With the team personally knowing just how vital Horatio’s Garden will be to people affected by spinal injury from across Wales, they’re determined to raise as much as they possibly can.

We are immensely grateful to the Hugh James Neurolaw Team for once again supporting the charity and wish them all the very best with their training over the coming months – we can’t wait to see more photos like the ones below!
