Last night, PMI London held their first Summer Garden Party Charity Quiz (via Zoom, of course), which was joined by around 90 people and raised over £450 for Horatio’s Garden London!

Having recognised that patients and families are facing an incredibly difficult time currently as a result of Covid-19 and that every Horatio’s Garden is a vital lifeline for both patients and NHS staff, PMI London wanted to do something to help the charity.

Quizmaster Mark Jenkins of CMShosted the fabulous four-round quiz, incorporating challenging general knowledge, music, picture and garden-themed questions for an hour and a half of at-home entertainment. The competition was strong and everyone playing was certainly in it to win it, including our very own Horatio’s Garden team.

Despite a strong start, we didn’t quite manage to take the top spot, finishing joint 5th with Team Pi. However, we hold no resentment towards the brainboxes on Team DMS, who managed to secure first place and who proved themselves to be very worthy winners!

It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying themselves by playing along at home, including many of our volunteers and supporters. We are enormously grateful to Amanda Burden for suggesting Horatio’s Garden as the summer quiz beneficiary, and to everyone who joined in and donated as part of the event yesterday. We’re already looking forward to the rematch…
