On Friday 31 May 2024, generous supporters of Horatio’s Garden Michele Harding, Vicky Forbes and Peter Forbes opened up their two stunning gardens to host an incredible Garden Gathering!
With parking generously provided in an adjacent field, guests had the opportunity to explore two separate gardens. Both were equally beautiful, demonstrating the different plants and flowers that can thrive in the scenic Dorset countryside.
Alongside the gardens, attendees enjoyed access to a plant sale, a raffle, and a stall selling Horatio’s Garden merchandise. All stalls were staffed by volunteers, and we are so thankful to everyone who offered their support.
Refreshments at the event were provided by Compton McRae, a local food shop and cafe. The range of drinks, cakes and savoury snacks provided meant everyone left feeling satisfied!
Horatio’s Garden CEO Katie Tait was also in attendance, giving a short talk on the charity to the assembled guests.
By the time all cars had left the field and the marquees had been safely stored away, the event had raised over £3,500 for Horatio’s Garden Salisbury!
