Congratulations to The Colchester Rovers Cycling Club (CRCC) who very kindly held their annual Sportive in support of Horatio’s Garden on Sunday 24th March.
Luckily the weather was on the side of those in the saddle, so over 200 riders who were involved in the event got the chance to soak-up some Spring sunshine whilst also raising a phenomenal total of more than £1,700!
The CRCC chose to support Horatio’s Garden this year as two of their members, Will Tweddell and Julie Baker, have recently benefitted from spending time in our garden at the National Spinal Injuries Centre in Stoke Mandeville. We are incredibly pleased to hear that both Will and Julie are making good progress, and it’s wonderful to know that the work Horatio’s Garden does makes a real difference to people like Will and Julie, and all their family and friends.
We are so grateful to the Colchester Rovers Cycling Club and thank you to everyone who took part. The money you’ve raised will help us to make an enormous difference to all those affected by life-changing injuries.
