Join #teamhoratiosgarden for Swim Serpentine on the 21st of September to support us as we continue to create and nurture beautiful garden spaces in NHS spinal injury centres.
Swim Serpentine is a hugely popular, open water swimming event that is staged in the stunning setting of the iconic Serpentine in Hyde Park. It was previously the venue of the open water swimming competition of the London 2012 Olympic Games, so this is your chance to follow in the strokes of many talented athletes!
Horatio’s Garden have charity places available for the One-Mile Swim, which is a classic distance in the world of open water Swimming. It is the most popular of all the swims as it is a manageable distance for amateurs and professionals alike, with swimmers taking anything from 20 minutes to one hour to complete the course.
Everyone who takes part has the opportunity to choose a start wave, with swimmers setting off at regular intervals throughout the day.
Having previously had staff members, trustees and volunteers taking part, we speak from experience when we say that this event truly is for everyone and promises to be an hugely enjoyable day for all!
