About St Mary Abbots Parish Church
Whilst the present church of St Mary Abbots is only 150 years old, there has been a community of worship here in the heart of the capital for some 1000 years. This makes it one of the earliest churches to be established in Kensington and indeed it was the only one in existence in the area until the nineteenth century.
The present church was completed in its entirety in 1879 and illustrates Sir George Gilbert Scott’s work at its architectural best. It has been at the core of many lives since then and continues to be a thriving centre supporting the local community to this very day.
* Ticket prices exclude a small Eventbrite fee which is non-refundable.
