The 34th George Skeates Fun Cross Country Charity Event will once again be held in Stockbridge this year on Sunday 9th January 2022.
The fun run and cycle occasion will begin at 9:30am with a 10am race start, with athletes lining up to tackle either an 8-mile or 3-mile course from the Town Hall in Stockbridge, Hampshire (SO20 6HE).

Entry costs £15 per adult and £6 per child, with all proceeds donated to the George Skeates Benevolent Fund, which Horatio’s Garden, Wessex Heartbeat and the INSPIRE Foundation are all beneficiaries of.
The event was established by a friend of George’s, Mike Crossman, back in 1986 after George, a Champion British sidecar racer, suffered a spinal injury in a motorsport accident in 1985.
Unfortunately in 1994, Mike Crossman sadly passed away from heart failure. Since then, Mike’s son Jeb has organised the event, with it consistently attracting hundreds of entrants and continually growing year on year.
With those taking part only needing to bring their enthusiasm, there’s the opportunity for everyone to get involved and make a difference this New Year.

We’ll look forward to hearing your George Skeates stories this January and wish everyone lots of luck as they traverse the course!
