We were absolutely thrilled to be joined by 55 individuals, couples and families on Zoom last week for a fabulously fun evening of Winter Wine Tasting!
The event was the first time the charity has ever hosted anything like this, and it was brilliant to see supporters both old and new in attendance. Everyone had the opportunity to discover more about various different wines, the foods they pair best with, whilst a challenging quiz also led to a lot of hilarity.
The evening was hosted by Laithwaite’s wine expert, Grant Hedley, who was excellent and entertaining from start to finish. Following the tasting, we received many lovely comments detailing that everyone had enjoyed the evening immensely, with people sharing that it was particularly wonderful to be able to watch fellow families and supporters making the most of the delicious drinks and snacks in the cosy comfort of their respective homes.
As the event was generously sponsored by Bolt Burdon Kemp, all proceeds from ticket sales went directly towards supporting the charity, meaning the event raised a fantastic total of over £2,500.
It was our pleasure to be able to while away an evening in lockdown with so many wine and garden enthusiasts and we are so grateful to Bolt Burdon Kemp, Laithwaites and all of you for making the event a resounding success.
