Five fabulous competitors made up #teamhoratiosgarden and took part in the Swim Serpentine fundraising event on Saturday 21st September to raise money for Horatio’s Garden.
Swim Serpentine is a hugely popular, open water swimming event that is staged in the stunning setting of the iconic Serpentine in Hyde Park. It was previously the venue of the open water swimming competition of the London 2012 Olympic Games, so this was our team’s chance to follow in the strokes of many talented athletes.
The team all took part in the One-Mile Swim, which is a classic distance in the world of open water swimming and all shared that they had a hugely enjoyable day. The crowd were enormously supportive too and once everyone was safely ashore the celebrations well and truly began!
Although the event is now over, there is still time to help each member of the team reach their fundraising target by simply donating to their JustGiving pages, which are all listed below.
