A special Sunday spent at Longford Castle for the Horatio’s Garden Chelsea Flower Show Plant Sale

It was an absolute pleasure to welcome hundreds of you to The Longford Estate for the Horatio’s Garden Chelsea Flower Show Plant Sale for an afternoon filled with sunshine, delicious homemade cake, and plenty of plants too!

With a selection of stunning and rare large perennials available, all grown in the UK especially for the RHS Chelsea Gold Medal winning, ‘Best in Show’ Horatio’s Garden Chelsea and hand-picked by the garden’s award-winning designers Harris Bugg Studio, we were thrilled to spend a Sunday with so many of you.

Kindly hosted in the heart of the stunning Longford Estate, home to the charity’s Patron, The Countess of Radnor, the plant sale was a unique opportunity to take home a living memento of the charity’s week at the world-renowned RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Thanks to generous sponsorship from Aspire Law, regional partner of Horatio’s Garden South West in Salisbury, all profits will be donated to the charity, helping Horatio’s Garden to continue nurturing people and plants alike.

Knowing that every purchase made a difference infused the plant sale with a fantastic atmosphere, which was perfectly captured by talented photographer Suzanne Wilkinson (with a bonus classic car themed photo from Alexander Wilkinson)!

We are so grateful to everyone who joined us for this special occasion, including all the charity’s volunteers. Not only did they share their horticultural knowledge to help visitors make informed plant purchases on the day, they also spent weeks baking irresistible treats and making beautiful artisan crafts for the occasion.

The event was also home to a full collection of bespoke Horatio’s Garden merchandise, all gorgeously displayed by our brilliant volunteers to give everyone the chance to buy our commemorative Horatio’s Garden Chelsea range, designed exclusively by Emma Bridgewater, and much more besides.

We hope that everyone’s little piece of Horatio’s Garden history continues to thrive and may it always remind those who came along of the difference you’ve made to thousands of people’s lives.
