Horatio’s Garden were delighted to be invited by Newbury Racecourse to raise awareness of the charity and all that we do to support people facing life-changing injuries.
On Thursday 25th July, Trustee Maggie Cameron, Titus Chapple, Charlotte Crawley and her mother Minty, all attended the races on behalf of the charity and had a truly brilliant evening amongst friends. All were on-hand to celebrate Knight Shield’s win in the Horatio’s Garden EBF Novice Stakes under jockey James Doyle, trainer W J Haggas (Newmarket), and owner M M Stables, presenting the team with a beautifully crafted glass bowl bearing the charity’s emblem.
All the staff at Newbury have been enormously supportive of the charity, and consciously featured Horatio’s Garden in various ingenious ways across the racecourse to encourage everyone to engage with our work. From featuring our short video to placing banners and sashes wherever they could, the team were happy to do anything and everything to promote Horatio’s Garden!
We so appreciate all their efforts and were very pleased to hear from Maggie, Titus, Charlotte and Minty that the evening was a success from start to finish.
