On Tuesday June 5th, celebrated garden designer, Tom Stuart-Smith, talked exclusively at Braxted Park about ‘Gardens and Culture’ to raise funds for Horatio’s Garden.
As Tom said: “Making gardens in different parts of the world has made me realise that our approach to gardening in Britain is both unique and eccentric.”
Tom looked at gardens he has made in India, Morocco, the Caribbean and the US in contrast to some of the gardens he has made in the UK, so as to illustrate the different place that gardens occupy in different cultures.
The talk was part of the NGS Open Garden Day at Braxted Park and raised over £500.00.
