The Awards Party for Belgravia in Bloom took place on the evening of Tuesday 21 May in the stunning Newson’s Yard, Pimlico. Belgravia in Bloom is a free flower festival running from Monday 20 May to Monday 27 May, generously supported by Grosvenor. As the official charity partner of this year’s event, Horatio’s Garden was thrilled to attend the event.
The theme of this year’s festival was ‘Floral Fun and Games’, prompting tenants in and around the neighbourhood to bring the world of fun and games to life with eye-catching floral displays.
Horatio’s Garden contributed to the array with a floral installation entitled ‘The Flower Stand’, created by garden designer Butter Wakefield in the heart of Newson’s Yard.
On the night, awards were handed out for ‘Best Overall’, ‘Best Interpretation of Theme’, and ‘Most Innovative Display’.
The award for ‘Best Display’ went to Bayley and Sage, an independent fresh food realtor, while ‘Highly Commended’ in the same category were luxury florist Neill Strain and cafe-restaurant The Buttery.
The display created by restaurant Enoteca Turi was awarded ‘Best Interpretation of Theme’, with private dining club Mosimman’s and hair and beauty studio SMUK named ‘Highly Commended’.
The award for ‘Most Innovative Display’ was given to designer children’s shoe brand Papouelli, whilst clothing brand ME+EM and fabric and furniture creators Chelsea Textiles’ displays were ‘Highly Commended’ in the same category.
Dr Olivia Chapple, Horatio’s Garden Founder and Chair of Trustees, was among those attending the event, alongside Rosanna Falconer and representatives from both Grosvenor and Belgravia in Bloom. We are so grateful to all of the tenants of Belgravia who created such beautiful floral displays, and to Grosvenor for supporting the event. Our congratulations to all the winners, and to everyone who made it such a successful night!
