Founder and Chair of Trustees, Dr Olivia Chapple, recently attended the Women of Achievement lunch in Scotland, which was held in order to raise funds for Horatio’s Garden.
The event was held at the iconic Archers’ Hall in Edinburgh, where women from across the country gathered to discuss and celebrate their experiences. All those who attended were enormously generous in their support of Horatio’s Garden and many enjoyed hearing Olivia share her unique perspective on the value of the charity’s work.
By coincidence, dedicated supporter Emma Bridgewater attended the event too, speaking alongside celebrated writer Professor Heather McGregor and Ruth Davidson MSP. For those who may not know, Heather was the Financial Times’ ‘Miss Moneypenny’, writing a weekly column that delighted readers for 17 years. All three spoke eloquently and each of them entertained the audience with their individual contributions to an already uplifting occasion.
Thank you to everyone who supported the occasion, including Gin Bothy for their delicious non-alcoholic cocktails and New Hopetoun Gardens who generously spruced the reception area with their beautiful plants.
