Talented sculptor Alexander Macdonald-Buchanan has generously offered to loan his impressive piece ‘Energy’ to Horatio’s Garden Salisbury until October 2019.

Alexander has been interested in ceramics and pottery since his school years, spending many years travelling far and wide to explore the art in greater depth. Having journeyed around potteries in Japan, the Far East and New Zealand he then returned to the UK to establish his own workshop, inspired by the techniques he had seen on his travels.

His work has been exhibited in a variety of different spaces and locations, and his ‘Energy’ series specifically has previously been exhibited at both Chatsworth and in Canary Wharf.

Now, ‘Energy’ is nestled safely in its new home for patients and visitors to enjoy throughout the summer thanks to the generosity of Woolley & Wallis, who continue to support art in Horatio’s Garden and have done since the charity’s story began. We are so pleased to welcome this sculpture to the garden, which is a fitting sentiment for a new season of growth and beauty in this wonderful place.
