Linzi Clark, a lovely volunteer in Horatio’s Garden London & South East, has very kindly shared her story with Hozelock this August, featuring as part of their guest blog.
We’ve have a wonderful partnership with Hozelock and this year they generously selected us as one of their chosen charities for 2021. They’re incredibly supportive of Horatio’s Garden, doing a great deal to raise awareness of all that we do, whilst they also make a practical difference by regularly donating a selection of their brilliant products to our gardens.
With Hozelock being as passionate as we are about the importance of encouraging people to spend as much time as possible feeling the benefits of nature, the team caught up with Linzi to discover why she decided to break up her time working from home by embracing volunteering outdoors.
The short piece features plenty of thoughtful questions, all of which Linzi considerately answers with warmth and enthusiasm in equal measure. Offering an insight into her life, where her inspiration for gardening comes from, how she usually whiles away a day volunteering and what she personally loves about spending time in the garden, it’s most certainly worth taking a moment to read.
We really appreciate Linzi taking the time to write such a lovely piece and are grateful to Hozelock too for helping to bring her words to life by sharing them with all of you.
