Senior Reporter for the Shropshire Star, Deborah Hardiman, recently visited Head Gardener, Imogen Jackson, in Horatio’s Garden Oswestry to find out more about her adventure walking John Muir Way.
Over 10 days, Imogen, husband Allan, friend Andrew and dog Toby walked the 134-mile coast-to-coast route in order to raise money for the charity. The group camped along the way, which was certainly chilly but afforded them some spectacular views of the beautifully wild Scottish landscape.
Imogen shared more with Deborah about her journey and how generous supporters had helped her to raise over £1,000 for Horatio’s Garden. She also mentioned that people’s kindness was now more important than ever and that whatever people can give will make an enormous difference to the many people currently spending time in the Midland Centre for Spinal Injuries.
