Ladies from Cathcart Castle Golf Club visited Horatio’s Garden Glasgow this week to hand over a cheque for £6550 !
This amazing amount was raised over the last year. Horatio’s Garden was the charity chosen by Lady Captain, Ann Blackwood. She used to visit the Spinal Unit when her brother in law Ewan Rice was a patient there. This was before the garden was built, and patients had very little access to the outdoors and fresh air.
The fundraising activities included a Gala Day and Auction, A Bridge Drive, hamper sales, Coffee Mornings, and Raffles.
One member made marmalade and sold it for our cause!
We are so grateful for the support of all the members of Cathcart Castle and look forward to seeing some of them in the garden in the Spring.
