Kathy Hinde will be showing her work in Horatio’s Garden Salisbury. Kathy’s work grows from a partnership between nature and technology expressed through audio-visual installations and performances that combine sound, sculpture, image and light. She has shown work extensively across Europe, China, Pakistan, USA, Canada, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil and New Zealand.

The work will be exhibited in the apple archway in Horatio’s Garden. It’s called ‘Luminous Birds’ and features origami birds made of waxed paper that combine lighting and sound to give them a sense of movement. Here is a link to a short film of the work https://vimeo.com/246280851, same as video above.

As with the previous art, the primary aim of the exhibition is to interest the patients in the spinal centre. We will also welcome the patients’ family and friends. The exhibition will be open to all patients in the spinal centre, family, friends, SDH staff and patients from across the hospital too.

The work will be installed on Tuesday 27th November and it will stay until the end of March. Thank you to Woolley & Wallis Salisbury Salerooms for sponsoring art in Horatio’s Garden Salisbury.
