We are delighted to welcome Tambo as our newest Charity of the Year Partner, with a very exciting year ahead planned for us both.

Having recently met with their charity committee, it was apparent that the Tambo team are already very knowledgeable about the work we do – and why we do it – and their passion and enthusiasm to support us is obvious. It’s going to be a real pleasure to work with them on a whole range of ideas and we’re already looking forward to seeing where this new collaborative adventure takes us!

Tambo were aware of Horatio’s Garden thanks to one of their team, Angus Reynolds, having a close personal connection to the charity; he grew up knowing and spending a lot of time with our charity’s namesake, Horatio Chapple and his brothers Titus and Magnus. As a company, they have always been keen to support charities, and they saw this as the perfect opportunity to reach out, offer their support and really make a difference.

“The whole team at Tambo are proud and excited to be supporting the great work that Horatio’s Garden are doing across the UK. We can’t wait to put our volunteering day to good use with the Horatio’s team, and our fundraising events throughout the year will be a great addition to our social calendar.”

Over the next 12 months, the Tambo team have committed to raising vital funds and awareness for Horatio’s Garden, and they have wasted absolutely no time in starting, with two of their team already having signed up to take part in the Amsterdam Half Marathon in October.

As well as helping us raise the funds we need to maintain our gardens, the Tambo team aren’t afraid of getting their hands dirty. They’re keen to get into each of our six gardens, volunteering as often as possible to help keep our gardens looking great, whilst they’ll also be offering hands-on support to our beneficiaries. We will definitely put their volunteering days to good use!

Bethan Cummings, Director of Fundraising at Horatio’s Garden, shared her thoughts on the importance of working with partners such as Tambo and how their support is vital to the charity.

“We really are thrilled to have the Tambo team on board supporting us. It’s because of people like them that we can continue our work and do as much as we do to support people living with spinal injuries throughout and beyond their time in hospital. It’s wonderful to see how passionate they are, and their youthful enthusiasm and creativity will go a long way towards making this partnership a huge success”.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Tambo for choosing us as their Charity Partners and we are looking forward to working with them throughout a brilliant year ahead!
