We spent a wonderful evening at our first Belgravia Drinks party in the company of many incredible supporters on Wednesday 22 May, in the midst of RHS Chelsea Flower Show and Belgravia in Bloom!
Kindly hosted in the beautiful Nina Campbell showroom in Newson’s Yard, the evening was home to a fantastic, buzzing atmosphere. Throughout the night, the charity’s brilliant supporters enjoyed the chance to catch up with friends over a glass of fizz and a selection of delicious canapés created by Sarah Symington.
All those attending were given the chance to hear more about the charity and everything we’ve been working on since winning Best in Show at RHS Chelsea Flower Show last year. Among the night’s guests were horticultural stars Butter Wakefield, James Alexander-Sinclair, Bunny Guinness and Joe Perkins, Horatio’s Garden Ambassador Anneka Rice and President of the Royal Horticultural Society, Keith Weed.
During the evening, Horatio’s Garden Founder and Chair of Trustees Dr Olivia Chapple took to the stage to warmly welcome and thank everyone, while also sharing details of our most recent projects. With ground having been broken in Horatio’s Garden Sheffield & East only the previous week, there was a great deal to celebrate!
Olivia then introduced Katie Tait, the recently appointed CEO of Horatio’s Garden. Katie described her previous awareness of Horatio’s Garden, during her time working for Maggie’s and as a member of the selection committee for Project Giving Back, who generously funded our show garden last year.
Images of the night were captured by Zoe Norfolk, perfectly capturing the happiness in the room as friends reconnected and stories were shared.
The event was made possible by the generosity of Nina Campbell and of Grosvenor, and we would like to thank both for supporting such a memorable occasion.
We are so grateful to everyone who joined us, and are already excited to see you all next year!
