This year The Rank Foundation have launched their brilliant enterprise programme ‘Profit for Good’ which is aimed at helping charities to improve their commercial opportunities and we’re thrilled to announce that our brand new project, Horatio’s Garden Tours, has been awarded a place on the scheme. The programme also includes a fully-funded place on both an enterprise-themed Action Learning Set, and on the NESsT Profit for Non-Profits online accelerator course to help with our development.

Whilst the charity has always welcomed a variety of visitors to each Horatio’s Garden, both casually and for guided tours, the funding we will receive will make it possible for us to now make this a monthly opportunity for supporters each year from April to September.

The garden tours and talks will be ticketed events which will be led by our expert Head Gardeners at every Horatio’s Garden throughout the UK. They will be open to anyone and everyone, but are a particularly fantastic opportunity for local gardening groups to explore our award-winning gardens. It also offers those interested in horticultural therapy the chance to learn more about all the wonderful benefits of gardens and gardening for people’s physical and mental health.

We hope to build relationships with a great many local and regional supporters by inviting them to experience the gardens, and by encouraging groups of visitors we are promoting an environmentally conscious way of taking daytrips to see beautiful spaces.

At each talk there will be a range of plants on sale and plenty of Horatio’s Garden merchandise available too so that every visitor can take home a memento. And, of course, there will always be an abundance of hot beverages and homemade cake to warmly welcome everyone to the garden!

We will update the website with more information and booking details very soon.

Thank you to The Rank Foundation for supporting our new enterprise and for offering our Fundraising Team tailored support throughout our exciting new venture. We look forward to learning a lot over the next few years!
