Who will be the next big thing in 2024?
That’s the question Laura Silverman answers in her brilliant ‘Ones to watch’ piece for the February 2024 issue of Country Living magazine, with a host of experts predicting the changemakers we’ll all be talking about this coming year.
Among the 14 individuals nominated is Head Gardener Ashley Edwards of Horatio’s Garden London & South East, who was chosen for inclusion by award-winning landscape designer and presenter Joe Swift.
Speaking of Ashley in the piece, Joe shared: “Ashley has a strong affinity with nature and is a great communicator. After seeing him on Gardeners’ World, a lot of people have been inspired to have a go at growing and gardening.”
Ashley first appeared on BBC Gardeners’ World in September 2023, sharing more about his horticultural story and personal connection with gardening. You’ll find Ashley’s feature approximately 7:48 minutes into the programme.
Following an amazing response on social media, Ashley received lots of lovely messages from people who felt inspired by his passion for plants and nature. His online following has since increased, as has interest in all the work he does nurturing the wellbeing of people after spinal injury in Horatio’s Garden London & South East, designed by Tom Stuart-Smith.
