We are always on the lookout for new volunteers of all ages, particularly in Horatio’s Garden Scotland and in the newly opened Horatio’s Garden Oswestry.
“Brilliant group of positive, lovely and inspiring people!”
Our enthusiastic volunteers help the Head Gardener to care for each of our gardens, support patients and their loved ones and help to run events and activities. We also welcome volunteers who are willing to offer administrative support in our Salisbury-based office team.
“The enthusiasm is inspirational and the support and encouragement given is excellent.”
There are also mentored volunteering opportunities available for young people age 16 and over. Whether you’re looking to volunteer as part of your Duke of Edinburgh Award, or would like to be involved on a more permanent basis, we’d love to hear from you!
“Volunteering gives me a purpose and a feeling of belonging. The garden lifts my spirits and I know patients feel the same.”
By volunteering with us, you’ll be part of a brilliant team in a varied, rewarding role. There’s something for everyone and we just ask for a minimum commitment of one afternoon a month.
Each NHS Trust provides a car parking pass. You will be required to complete a simple DBS check, Occupational Health Check and a relaxed interview. In return, we provide training and dedicated support to help you make the most of your time with us, whilst also offering you the chance to have fun and make new friends.
To register your interest please email email@example.com or call 01722 326834.
Festival Volunteering with MyCause
Fancy going to some of the UK’s biggest festivals for free, whilst raising money for Horatio’s Garden? Then why not volunteer in 2020 festival season with MyCause!
How it works
By volunteering your time at everything from Boomtown to Boardmasters, you’ll be helping Horatio’s Garden. You simply donate your time and in return MyCause make a cash donation based on the fee they receive from the event’s organisers.
You don’t have to raise or donate any money yourself and there’s no cost to us. All MyCause ask is that you pay a deposit, which you will get back once you’ve completed your shifts and the event is over.
So far, MyCause have supported 5,000 volunteers raising a total of nearly £100,000 for over 700 charities. This is a fresh, exciting opportunity to support Horatio’s Garden and one that is truly rewarding for both you and us.
