The Garden Gallery in Broughton has arranged for Rebecca Newnham’s sculptures to be exhibited in Horatio’s Garden.
‘Quercus’ is made of a steel frame with a styrofoam and fibreglass body and a mosaic’d surface skin. The two pieces tower towards the sky and are designed to gently sway in the breeze.
‘Fledge’ Increments of Flight is a series of four sculptures based on the movements of birds wings. They are mounted on steel plinths and rotate gently in the wind.
Rebecca will be in Horatio’s Garden on Sunday 7th September to talk about her work. All patients, their family and friends, volunteers and staff are welcome.
