Over the past few months, Horatio’s Garden Stoke Mandeville volunteer Liz Hair has been creating hundreds of masks in order to help people in her local community protect themselves and their loved ones from Coronavirus.

Liz watched a simple YouTube video and decided to set herself the challenge of creating masks in a variety of colours and patterns. Her target was to create 100 masks, which she then planned to give to people in return for a small donation to Horatio’s Garden.

Naturally, everyone loved Liz’s innovative and thoughtful idea, which has now raised over £500 for the charity. We are enormously grateful to everyone who has donated as part of Liz’s fundraising so far and hope that her masks are brightening up plenty of people’s time in lockdown.
