Tynings Allotments in Warminster comprises of over 160 plots, ranging in size between 100 and 200 square meters, with all the owners recently coming together to raise over £1,000 for Horatio’s Garden!
The site provides excellent facilities for passionate gardeners and growers, including a raised gardening area for people who are disabled. With members of their fantastic community knowing from first-hand experience how important it is to make gardening accessible to everyone, the group feel a natural affinity with Horatio’s Garden and we’re keen to support us however they could.
As a community known for hosting numerous social events, including bingo evenings, plant sales, a gardeners’ question time and their Annual Show (where the fruits of their year’s gardening labours are entered for friendly competition!), everyone was only too happy to join in with the fun.
Executive Trustee, Victoria Holton, went along too in order to represent the charity, sharing that the occasion certainly lived up to the Tynings Allotment event reputation!
We are so grateful to everyone at Tynings Allotments for helping us to continue planting hope and wish each and every one of them luck with their sowing and growing in 2022.
