Our Stoke Mandeville volunteer team were due to be exhibiting at the Humble Country Fayre this past weekend, however as we’re currently unable to gather for large events the organisers decided to innovatively hold a Virtual Fayre via social media instead!

Throughout June the Virtual Humble Country Fayre has been taking place on Instagramwith the account featuring various brands due to exhibit at the weekend event. Humble Country Events are well-known for their fayres in the south of England, hosting exhibitors throughout the summer months and at Christmas. Their ethos is all about offering visitors a curated shopping experience, with boutique brands selling homeware, gifts and gorgeous accessories.

The Virtual Fayre captured this spirit perfectly, representing small businesses and charities like ours who currently need public support more than ever. Organiser Vicki Usher and her team devoted almost the entirety of June to promoting the ‘shop small’ message, with the Fayre culminating in a prize giveaway on Saturday 20th June.

Emily Mills won the bespoke hamper, which included one of our Emma Bridgwater allium mugs along with lots of other gifts from the brands involved. Altogether the prizes were worth over £700, so we hope Emily enjoys each and every one of them!

The Humble Country Fayre now has its sights set on preparing for next summer’s inaugural Buckinghamshire event, which will be held on a weekend in June 2021 at the Claydon Estate. Tickets bought this year will still be valid and there will be more available at some point soon, so hopefully this time next year our Stoke Mandeville team will see you there!

We are so grateful to everyone at Humble Country Events for all their support and to anyone new who’s found us as a result of their efforts too.
