The Chiltern Brewery, based in Terrick, presented a cheque for £300 to Horatio’s Garden on Friday 19th May towards the accessible garden sanctuary soon to be built at the spinal injuries unit at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. The donation comes from money raised from every pint sold of their special limited edition ale from earlier this year – Pride of Bucks & Berks.
Mike Mackenzie, Patron of Horatio’s Garden Stoke Mandeville, was delighted to accept the cheque on behalf of the charity. Executive Trustee and Treasurer of Horatio’s Garden, Victoria Holton, said “The funds raised will help bring to fruition a beautiful garden sanctuary to patients with spinal cord injuries and we’re hugely grateful to The Chiltern Brewery for supporting Horatio’s Garden at Stoke Mandeville”.
