One of our supporters recently approached us with an inspired new fundraising idea; to gather groups of passionate Bridge players together and encourage them to use their games and tournaments, whether online or offline, as an opportunity to raise money for Horatio’s Garden!
With the game being popular, we naturally thought it was a wonderful idea and it couldn’t be simpler to get involved.
With restrictions currently meaning in person play isn’t possible, the online platform Trickster is a brilliant, free way for you to play Bridge with your family, friends, local community and those from further afield.
Please click here to play Bridge on Trickster
With Trickster, you can create your own game and invite whoever you like to join you. This means that you can enjoy the fun of Bridge with those who matter to you, regardless of where you all are in the world.
The platform has customisable rules, so you can play your way, whilst it also offers other card games such as Spades, Pitch and Whist.
To help Horatio’s Garden, all you have to do it set up your own Bridge game, or a tournament, and ask that everyone taking part pays an ‘entry fee’ in the form of a suggested £10 donation to Horatio’s Garden.
Your donations can be made online by clicking here
Please include your name, a note letting us know your donation is for Bridge and the name of the game/tournament you took part in
And remember, even once you begin playing in person again, you can still support Horatio’s Garden by donating an ‘entry fee’ in just the same way. In doing so, you’ll not only be making the most of the company of your community and loved ones, you’ll also be helping to improve the lives of people affected by spinal injury across the UK.
We can’t wait to hear all of your Bridge-themed fundraising stories!
