Julia Bolton, a volunteer in Horatio’s Garden Stoke Mandeville, has gone above and beyond this weekend by becoming the first person to complete the Local Landmarks Challenge in support of the charity.

Julia was planning to take part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon next weekend, but as a result of the challenging times currently facing the UK as a result of Coronavirus the event has been postponed. However, the London Landmarks team have been enthusiastically encouraging people to take on the challenge anyway as part of their new, solo, virtual running event.

So on Saturday, Julia did just that! She ran the full 13.1 miles in just under 2 and a half hours and visited some top local attractions along the way, including the site of Berkhamstead Castle.

So far, Julia has raised an incredible total of over £700 for Horatio’s Garden and would love it if as many people as possible continue to give generously in celebration of her achievement. To donate, please CLICK HERE.

We are so grateful to Julia for completing the challenge and hope she spent Sunday having a well-deserved rest!
