We’re absolutely delighted to hear that that Jo Hart and forty of her friends decided to follow Joanna Lumley’s Fabulous Summer Tea Party lead, hosting an incredible event which raised a fantastic total of over £450!
Jo decorated her house in true Horatio’s Garden style ahead of the event, something all her guests took note of and felt was a really thoughtful touch. Having taken the time to put together a table all about the charity, which included a cleverly crafted collection bucket, along with plenty of leaflets, everyone came away with a real appreciation for the afternoon’s fundraising efforts.
Naturally, the refreshments went down a storm, with everyone enjoying finally catching up over a whole host of delicious delicacies. Jo’s bright and beautiful tea cosies were undoubtedly the stars of the show and it wasn’t long before everyone had happily helped themselves to almost every homegrown cucumber and home-laid egg sandwich, every savoury pastry, a slice of cake and a cupcake from the immense tower at the head of the table. Indeed, as you’ll see in the photo below, the aftermath speaks for itself!
Everyone congratulated Jo for welcoming the gathered group so wonderfully, whilst many guests also shared that they planned to support the charity from now on. We are enormously grateful to all those who helped to make Jo’s Fabulous Summer Tea Party such a success and would also like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to Jo for going to such extraordinary lengths to help raise awareness of all that we do.
