Congratulations to Jana Billington and her friend Georgia who recently completed their incredible Mount Kilimanjaro climb in order to raise money for Horatio’s Garden!

Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest freestanding mountain in the world, towering over the surrounding landscape with its 5895m high peak. The girls have been training for months in preparation for their journey, devoting their climb to raising money for Horatio’s Garden.

Jana’s dad previously spent four months in the Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre in Salisbury, in rehabilitation following paralysis from a spinal cord injury. During that time Jana, her father, and the rest of their family enjoyed being together in the uplifting atmosphere of Horatio’s Garden, which inspired Jana to give something back to the charity.

We are in complete awe of both Jana and Georgia and are totally overwhelmed by all of your immensely generous donations. We are so thrilled to hear that the girls safely completed their climb and we look forward to hearing more about their adventure soon.
