This weekend one of our brilliant supporters, Fiona Dunger, took on the Local Landmarks Challenge and successfully completed a half marathon.

Fiona had been planning on taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon in March, which was cancelled in light of the Coronavirus crisis, so decided to run her own route at home instead.

With help from Tim, Ollie and Will, her familial ‘support team’, Fiona ran the full 13.2 miles along the beautiful Test Way and made the most of the gorgeous sunshine. She made special mention of Will, thanking him for being her ‘pace setter’ for the final five miles, whilst also sharing that training for the run has given her focus throughout lockdown. She has high hopes that the London Landmarks Half Marathon will still go ahead in autumn and is looking forward to having the chance to attempt her second half marathon!

Lots of people have evidently been impressed by Fiona’s sporting prowess, as her supporters have helped her surpass her fundraising target of £500. Incredibly, Fiona has raised a total of £1,605 and we are so grateful to everyone who has donated. It’s not too late to make a contribution either, so if you would like to help simply CLICK HERE.

We hope Fiona and all her family are enjoying a well-deserved rest today!
