Thank you so much to Catherine Boyce, who decided to take on the challenge of the Great Run Solo: 12 Runs by Christmas in support of Horatio’s Garden Wales!
The December Accumulator was designed to get everyone saying ‘Oh what fun it is to run’, and as long as participants completed 12 (or more!) runs by 25th December of any distance, they would successfully achieve their goal.
As Catherine rediscovered a love for running last year, it was in fact her sister who thought she might like to use her newfound sporting prowess for good.
Being that her sister is none other than Sarah Price, who is designing Horatio’s Garden Wales for the Welsh Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Centre at University Hospital Llandough in Cardiff, Catherine was only too happy to help with the capital appeal.
Brilliantly, she completed a total of 14 runs and far surpassed her fundraising target of £150, instead successfully raising a fantastic total of £605!
