On Thursday 30 May 2024, Horatio’s Garden volunteer Caroline Loup generously opened her gates to host a Garden Gathering in support of the charity.
Caroline is a professional landscape and garden designer, and so it was no surprise that her own garden was a sight to behold! With stunning views over the River Test, attendees were also treated to an informative garden tour, accessible using a QR code.
The event also featured a raffle and a range of delicious refreshments, kindly provided by Caroline’s friends and family. Combined with the donations made via JustGiving, the event raised over £1,500 for Horatio’s Garden!
Discussing the day, Caroline said: “It was a complete pleasure to gather friends for a Horatio’s Garden Gathering. The happiest combination of flowers, fun and fundraising! The rain stayed away, the garden shone and everyone loved the tea, the delicious cakes and the chance to get together. With huge thanks to everyone who lent tables, chairs, made cakes, maned the raffle and sold stunning plants. It was a team effort!”
