This year’s Swim Serpentine will once again be held in Hyde Park on Saturday 26th September and you can support Horatio’s Garden by taking part!
We have five one-mile places in the event, so we’re on the lookout for as many people to take on the challenge. Whether you’re a keen swimmer, or you’re looking to pursue an exciting new goal, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
About the Swim Serpentine
The event is a one-day open water swimming festival organised by London Marathon Events. It is held in and around the stunning Serpentine in Hyde Park, which was the venue of the open water swimming competition at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The one-mile swim is a classic distance in the world of open water swimming events and if you take part you’ll be following in the footsteps of the Olympic athletes who did this exact route when competing back in 2012. Thousands of people take part in the Swim Serpentine and as the one-mile swim is the event’s most popular distance, you’ll have plenty of people to support you along the way.
How to Get Involved
If you’d like to swim in support of Horatio’s Garden this year, all you have to do is email fundraising@horatiosgarden.org.uk to express your interest.
We ask that anyone getting involved commits to raising a minimum of £100 in sponsorship. Whilst this may sound like a lot, we know that plenty of people will be impressed by your sporting prowess and will donate generously as a result!
Our Events and Communications teams will give you dedicated support as you train and participate, so please do get in touch if you have any questions – we love hearing from you!
